This Privacy Policy explains how StarTech Networks(“we,” “us”) collects and uses information within FieldSync Pro, our internal application used by our employees and contractors to manage scheduling, attendance, and field operations. FieldSync Pro is not a consumer product and is not offered to the general public.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, mobile phone number, employee/contractor ID, role, and assigned program/project, provided by an administrator when your account is created.
- Time & attendance data — clock-in/clock-out times, shift assignments, breaks, and related records you create while using the app.
- Location data — when you clock in or out, the app uses your device location to verify you are within an assigned job-site geofence. Location is captured at punch events and during an active shift for attendance verification.
- Device & usage data — basic device and log information used for security and to operate the service.
How we use information
- To operate scheduling, time-tracking, attendance verification, and payroll-related workflows.
- To send account and operational notifications (see “SMS notifications” below).
- To secure accounts, prevent fraud (e.g., location/attendance integrity checks), and maintain the service.
SMS notifications
With consent obtained at onboarding, we send transactional SMS — password-reset codes, account invitations, and operational notices such as shift and schedule changes. We do not send marketing or promotional messages. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our SMS Consent & Notification Policy for details. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the application (for example, cloud hosting, database, and SMS delivery providers), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and as required by law.
Data retention
We retain account, attendance, and related records for as long as needed to operate the service and to meet legal, payroll, and recordkeeping obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards — including access controls and row-level security — to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
- You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
- For access, correction, or deletion requests related to your account, contact your administrator or us at the address below.
